It has been a wonderful mother's day for me. Not the great day of rest I really treasured, but nonetheless, I didn't have to deal with the boys much and John did most of the cooking so all in all a great day. Not to mention I also got some really great foot soothing stuff and will be getting a pedicure from the wonderful Mr. Ford tonight!!!
There has been a wee bit of knitting lately, but really not much to brag on.
I have started a "pink" garter stitch blanket out of Lion Brand Homespun. John and I are trying to have another baby and I am hoping that I may actually be able to use a pink blanket this time. If not it will be put back to give to someone who does have a girl!
I have also started on a flower washcloth from Weekend Knitting. I love the concept of how it is put together. I can see myself making many of these in the near future in lots of fun colors.
Hopefully tomorrow I will have time to post some pictures of my progress.|

There hasn't been much knitting going on today. I think trying to make three 5hbs in a row is a little too much. I have gotten burned out on it and I am almost done. The great thing is, I have to have it done by the end of May, so I can't throw it in a WIP pile for too long!!!
I have however been working on my scrapbook from our Disney trip in February! I want to get it done so I can look through it often. It was one of the greatest trips I have ever been on and the memories I have delight me every time I think about it. My husband became a child again while we were there & it was wonderful to see that side of him. I can't wait to go back again...hopefully in the next 4 years we will make it back!

I have finished the purple 5hbs for my niece's baby, but have started another one in white for one of Ethan's friend's new little sister or brother. They are not going to find out the sex of the baby, so I decided to make it white and maybe crochet some cute flowers to safety pin on...that way if they have a boy it can be just a white sweater!!!
I'm not sure what I am going to start next, I really want to start working on my quilts to get them finished. I have so many sewing projects that could probably be finished in a few days a piece that it seems silly to start new things all the time. I just need to get the motivation!!!|

What a day!!! Ethan was out of school since the afternoon pre-k had their field trip to the zoo today. He has been fairly good, but nonetheless, I am ready for him to go back tomorrow!!!
I started on anther 5hbs for my niece who is expecting a baby in June. I am making it with 10 1/2 needles using Bernat's Baby Boucle so it will be able to fit up to a 12 lb baby. Hopefully it will be perfect for this fall!!! I am going to try to make a matching hat if I have enough yarn left over! If not, I may make her a headband or something!
I have no idea what I am going to start on after I finish this sweater, but I do know it will be something for me again. I like being able to make stuff for myself, it is quite satisfying...not to mention, my husband gets plain giddy about how "great" he thinks they look...makes it all worth it!|

Another finished object, can you believe it? I finally finished my "cheesylove" sweater from a previous knitty. I decided not put the sleeves on & made it out of 100% cotton. I love it. I can't belive how perfect it fits. It was the first time I have ever done colorwork, it may not be the best, but I think it turned out great!!!
